One of the most interesting series of note-like bonds issued by the Chinese Republic during its war with Japan in a 1941 set depicting a monoplane of the Nationalist air force at the center; notes are printed entirely in Chinese, at top center reads "Hang K'ung Chiu Kuo Ch'uan" (National Salvation Aviation Bonds) dated in the 30th year of the Republic, or 1941.
One (1) $5 bond blue and light green on face, black and red on back and depicts Nationalist warplane of 1941; and one (1) $10 brown and pink face, black and red on back. All notes in the series are similar; and printed on un-watermarked white paper with a note-like set of terms in Chinese test on back. All serial numbers are printed in red and all bonds bear a round colorless embossed seal of the Nationalist Finance Ministry. 4.5" x 7.5" Fine condition.
