Second edition. London, Longmans, Green, Reader, & Dyer, 1868.
8vo, pp. 44; a little dust-soiling to the outer leaves and some spotting to the final leaf, otherwise a very nice, clean copy, stitched as issued.
Second, enlarged edition, first published earlier the same year, of 'an exposition of the belief that both England's bad government of Ireland and the rise of Fenianism should be attributed to England's conceit of her own institutions and her failure to comprehend the social economy of Ireland; and an argument that the Irish question could be settled neither by separation of Ireland from England nor by the establishment of a feudal union between the two but the establishment of a commission to examine all Irish farms and fix just rents for each' (MacMinn).
