Autograph Signed Letter, from General George Patton’s wife, Beatrice Patton. Handwritten on Green Meadows, South Hamilton, Massachusetts letterhead dated Oct 9th 1943. Written to Fannie Carpenter. During WWII Mrs. Patton gave away envelopes addressed to her by her husband if the recipient would buy a $1000 war bond. “I had promised not to let any go under $1,000 but what you are doing is so fine and your letter so nice that – here goes. Just don’t spread the news; but I could not resist you. / Sincerely yours, / Beatrice Patton.”
