Joseph Jencks [1656-1740] Manuscript Document signed as Governor Full page, legal folio, no place, June 22, 1730. With blind-stamped wafer Colonial Seal affixed with red wax. Appointment of Joseph Fener to serve as Lieutenant in the Third Company of Militia in the area of Providence. Paper repair to folds on verso. Fine appearance. Governor Jencks was a giant in stature, measuring seven feet two inches in his stockings! Rare.
