A scarce outdoor view of the front entrance, with garden statuary and fountains. Image area ca. 7 3/8" x 11 7/16", overall 11" x 14". Identifying manuscript title on mount.
Photographer anonymous. The great glass and iron structure designed by Sir Joseph Paxton, was originally build for the London Exhibition of 1851. It was reassembled into a palace at Sydenham in 1853. It was completely destroyed by fire in 1936.
